Robinhood 1 & Flutterby

Robinhood 1 & Flutterby have been added to the clearance section. Also, please take a look at Blue Cat created by Marianne using Dreamweaver. There are more photos of Blue Cat on Marianne's Flickr photostream. I have more yarn to add to Etsy but I've a lot on my mind lately plus I've been having lots of sinus headaces. I'll get to updating the handspun eventually.  I finished knitting a pair of socks for myself using my own handspun. I'll photograph the socks soon. Talk later.

Madeline's Sunshine Stole

Madeline knitted Sunshine stole in simple moss stitch. She used Mango Smoothie, Harvest Moon, both in Falkland wool. Combined them with yellow alpaca lace weight, from a local farm (yarn of white wool), mohair, and a pale yellow Baby Cotswold wool from a farm in Connecticut. I love seeing how my handspun is being made into an item that one enjoys and treasures. Thank you Madeline for sending my photos. Enjoy the photos.

Greetings

That's all the yarn added to Etsy for tonight. Goblin - the romney decided not to cooperate. The color is not as accurate as I liked. So, Goblin is having a time out. I still have 6 bobbins of singles to ply. Hopefully, I'll be able to add them late this/early next week. The sale will last through Jan 9/10, 2010 depending how busy I'm. Thank you for taking part in the sale. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you. Keep warm and be safe.

Happy Thanksgiving

Holiday sale is on. The listed price is 10% off. The sale will go on till the holiday is over. If your purchase is $100 and over, please read Shop Policies for more details. If you want to send the yarn as a gift, let me know during checkout.

Do forgive me on the long silence. I do have new yarn but was not able to get them listed in a timely manner. November is a difficult month with the time change to adjust to, kids activities at school plus Nov 29 is more difficult than any other November days (just checked my calender. It's Nov 25th not 29th). It's the day my beloved Grandfather passed on. This November marks the 30th year of his passing and I will always miss him. Anyway, let end the sob story for now as Thanksgiving is around the corner. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. Enjoy!!

Thank you

Thank you all for your support and making the sale a success. I look forward to seeing pictures of the finished project. Do email me some pictures. I'm spinning at a slower rate as the roving/single keeps tangling up with my injured finger. I'll upload pictures when I have new handspun. Thanks again.

No pictures yet

Didn't get a chance to upload pictures from NYC. Last night was International Night at the kids school. We didn't go as M1 has a test this morning plus both of them have belt test later in the evening. Still going over the terms with them.

I'm not available for shipping this Friday or Saturday. Any purchase made during this time will be mailed on Monday. I've added more handspun yarn to the clearance section. Hope you find some goodies. Talk later. Ta ta.

I'm back

Arrived back home late last night. The plane was queued on the tarmac for an hour. It's a lot shorter that what others had gone through. The weather was great on Wednesday but outright nippy on Thursday. I don't think the temp went above 60. I didn't realize I captured 300 image files in 2 days. I'll go through them and post them.

This weekend is A Wool Gathering. It's located at Young's Dairy. It will be a fun weekend as there will be fibery goodies, miniature golf and ice cream. I'll be busy prepping the kids karate terms fo theri test and catching up on chores. Will pop in later. See ya. Ta ta.

P/S - Didn't get a chance to knit on my socks. Busy taking photographs, browsing and eating.

My summer break, part 2 - warning picture heavy

Besides the pool, we spent a lot of time lounging on the sofa reading or watching DVDs. The kids were in 4 different reading programs through the varies local libraries. We went to the cinema, a couple of times. At the end of July we went to Washington, DC.

On July 28, we went to the Holocaust Museum, where photography are not allowed. We also went to the Space Museum.

We had fun in DC even though it was hot, humid & tiring. That's all for today. Will be back soon. BTW, Happy Independence Day, Malaysia.

My summer break, part 1 - warning picture heavy

I'm back from my summer break. I decided to take one while the kids were having theirs. I did spin some yarn but didn't add them to Etsy.  I've uploaded pictures of 11 yarn to my photostream and 12 more drying on the rack. I'll add the yarn as time permits. Here's a pictorial summary of my summer.

June 2009 - Weaving

Noro Silk Garden
#245

Patons Classic Merino

Universal Yarn Pace #13 & Rio De Plate SC15 (sock yarn)

We spent many days here

The kids swam & I floundered. Note to self - have to learn how to swim. I can only go about 2 yards. Kids tried to get on my back while I was floundering and they nearly sank me. Luckily, I was floundering at 3.5 feet deep.

Ate a lot of these

With Ranch dressing and a sprinkle of pepper

Have to take pictures of the scarves and handspun. I have some lovely merino/tencel waiting to be plied and some yummy meriboo(merino/bamboo) on the bobbin. TNNA is in town till Mon. Hope to meet up with some of you. Take care and have a great weekend.

Thank you

Thank you for participating in the sale. Hope all of you had a great Mother's day. I had a blister on the palm of my right hand and was not able to pre-draft fiber for spinning. I'm fine now. I've been working on other projects such as weaving, knitting. I'm thinking of adding fridge magnets to Etsy. The magnets will have pictures that I took. Any suggestions? I do have some yarn to add and will try to do so before the week is up. Tomorrow the kids have early dissmisal from school and Thursday they have a follow-up eye appointment. Also, next Monday will be M1's spring string concert. I hope that we'll be able to taple the performance with the new toy we scored from a local biz that's closing. Below are some pictures taken over last week. Be back soon. Take care and thank you again for your support.
