Yemaya is spun from 100% superwash merino dyed by Tamara of Spincerely Yours. The yarn is soft and lofty. It's 2 plied. Yemaya is the African (Yoruba) mother goddess. She is the goddess of the ocean and and a protector of life. She is often depicted as a mermaid or just rising out of the water. She is all about caring and comforting others. The colors of the yarn are various shades of blue from navy to blue-gray to sky blue. There are also hints of tan and green. Blue is a comfort color, providing the constancy of home.
