Finito

I turned in both shawls. Hope that the auction, which is on Friday, goes well.Above is the Swallowtail lace shawl. Yarn is 30% silk & 70% merino.

Here's the Kiri shawl. Yarn is 50% baby alpaca & 50% fine merino

And the blooming orchids, I bought them from Lowe's on clearance. Lets hope I don't over water them.

M2 has been counting down to her birthday since March 31. She placed an order on 2 batches of chocolate mint sugar cookies for her class. I have to make sure I have enough chocolate mint chips in the freezer for M2 and M1. Also, have to remember to buy vanilla essence. I couldn't believe that I ran out of it and didn't realize. I had to abandon making scones.

Now that the shawls are done, we'll be back to regular programs.

Red blob

I finished the red blob aka Kiri shawl on Friday night and cast on the teal/turquoise straight away. Both are knitted from commercial yarn. The teal/turquoise is rubbing off onto the sleeves of my cardigan. I love the feel of the yarn but not the color rubbing off. I'll have to call the store where I purchased the yarn from. Pictures soon.

Quick update

Here's M2 with her new glasses.

Sorry about the dark photo. Here's M1 with her new hairdo.

Excuse the self potrait shot. Had my hair trimmed this past Saturday.

Here's the blop of Kiri shawl after 4 repeats at time when it was taken. I've now finished 7 repeats and started the first 2 rows of the eighth. The Kromski Harp has arrived this evening. I have to finish the shawl first before I get to play with the loom. Photographed some new handspun today but ran out of daylight to proof them. Thanks for your patience.
