Green Ocean

Just popping in to let you know that Green Ocean has been added to DeLaBelle's treasury. Also, just found out that Little Imp's classmate's father has posted part of the musical on YouTube. So please pop over and take a look.

The Party is Over

Norwegian Heaven Cake

Thank you for taking part in the sale. I really appreciate your support. My little imp and I went hunting for a cake for her birthday. Her first choice - Chocolate Torte Cake was out of stock. Her second choice - Chocolate Mousse Cake, slipped and the mousse fell apart while being taken out from the case by cake boy. Her third choice - Norwegian Heaven Cake. Let me tell you it's definitely heaven. Put me right to sleep after I had a piece of it. This cake has a chocolate crust on top of the cake. Layered with chocolate cake, vanilla whip cream and raspberry jelly/sauce. The kids don't like the raspberry part but ate the others up.

Friday, my little imp had her school musical and after all 3 performances (the performance last about 45-50 minutes), the cast had a party. More cake and food. After school, she went over to her BFF's house for a play date. Saturday, her BFF had a birthday party so Bunny Girl, Little Imp and I went over early to help. We didn't get home till 11pm and picked Little Imp up the next day. I think she must be tired from all the socializing because I'm tired.

This week will be Bunny Girl's turn as she has her Ohio State Assessment plus intramural volleyball. Today is the qualifying round to see which team gets in the semi-finals. May's activities are trickling in and it looks like a busy month too. Bunny Girl has her 1.5 mile run and she started training for it. Poor me, the couch potato has to go exercise (just kidding).

I have 4 bobbins of yarn to ply and will post as soon as the yarns is ready. Have a great week and thank you again for your support.

ETA - Bunny Girl's team won. She's in the semi-finals tomorrow. Championship game is on Thursday.

Limeade Rainbow Mittens

The above mittens was knitted by a customer of mine, using Limeade Rainbow. The contrasting black yarn really pop the bright colors.

I have lot of projects on the needles. Such as Citron and Pivot shawls, Poppies and Strawberry Latte socks. Off the needles are - Spiral Rib hats, Green Tea handspun socks, Ishbel and 198 yds of Heaven shawls.

Lots of kids activities going on. 6 more school days before break starts. After break, there will be a lot of testing for both kids. Looks like lots of revision this break. I have a couple of yarn to photograph. At the moment, I'm spinning up some Turkish Delights by Enchanted Knoll Farm. This will be for me to knit some lace. Not sure which one yet though. Too many pattern, not enough time. Have to run now. Talk later.

Keep watch on the blog for news of when yarn will be added to Etsy or subscribe to RSS Feed. Also, Marianne added Lilac Kitty (made using French Lilac) to her store. Go over and take a look. See you tomorrow, hopefully. Keep warm.

Robinhood 1 & Flutterby

Robinhood 1 & Flutterby have been added to the clearance section. Also, please take a look at Blue Cat created by Marianne using Dreamweaver. There are more photos of Blue Cat on Marianne's Flickr photostream. I have more yarn to add to Etsy but I've a lot on my mind lately plus I've been having lots of sinus headaces. I'll get to updating the handspun eventually.  I finished knitting a pair of socks for myself using my own handspun. I'll photograph the socks soon. Talk later.

Madeline's Sunshine Stole

Madeline knitted Sunshine stole in simple moss stitch. She used Mango Smoothie, Harvest Moon, both in Falkland wool. Combined them with yellow alpaca lace weight, from a local farm (yarn of white wool), mohair, and a pale yellow Baby Cotswold wool from a farm in Connecticut. I love seeing how my handspun is being made into an item that one enjoys and treasures. Thank you Madeline for sending my photos. Enjoy the photos.
